Describe the process of transcription in detail.

Firstly, an enzyme called DNA Helicase will unwind the double stranded DNA. The RNA nucleotides complimentary base pair with the DNA template strand. Phosphodiester bonds are formed between the RNA bases by enzyme RNA polymerase. All thymine bases are replaced by uracil bases in production of mRNA. The mRNA has now been produced and leaves the nucleus via nuclear pores.
