How do I make x the subject of the formula?

5x+11=(y+2)/2
Best way to think about this is like its a normal equation where you're trying to find the value of x, just break it down into simple steps. The best thing to do first is to get rid of any fractions, we can do this by multiplying the equation by 2.
10x+22=y+2 (x 2)
Now we need to get x on its own, so we minus 22 from both sides
10x+22-22=y+2-22 --> 10x=y-20
Finally we divide both sides by 10
x=(y-20)/10
