How should I structure my french literature essays?

Intro + PEARL x 4 + Conclusion
INTRO - SHORT description of the text you have studied and what you will talk about in the essay
P = POINT - only 1 sentenceE = EVIDENCE - a quote from your text A = ANALYSIS - what does this quote mean? how does it link to the question?R = REACTION - what does this quote make you think? add in anything extra you know about the time period / author L= LINK - link this point that you've made back to the question and then onto your next 'Pearl'
CONCLUSION - summarise everything you have said, (do you agree/ disagree with the q?), finish with another question
