An enzyme is a biological catalyst that lowers activation energy and increases the rate of reaction without itself being used up. Increasing temperature, increases the rate of enzyme-controlled reaction as the molecules have more kinetic energy and they move faster. So, there’s a greater chance of successful collision resulting in many enzyme-substrate complexes(E-S) being formed. Decreasing temperature decreases the rate of enzyme-controlled reaction as molecules have less kinetic energy and they move slower. So reduced chance of successful collisions meaning fewer enzyme-substrate complexes being formed.
