x+3(2x+1)=2x+8

x+3(2x+1)=2x+8 Expand out the brackets 3 X 2x= 6x 3 X 1 = 3 Therefore x + 6x + 3 = 2x + 8 Place all the X's on one side of the = sign x+6x-2x = 8-3 x(1+6-2) = 55x = 5x = 5/5Therefore x = 1
