How should I go about writing my personal statement?

An excellent method to help you start writing your personal statement is by making a list of bullet points in regards to your chosen subject. For example you could note the following: what makes me want to study this subject at a university level? What motivates me to read more about this subject? What have I done to prove that my interest in this subject is genuine? Once these main questions have been answered, create a basic structure and arrange your answers in an order that flows. For example, you can start with: 1)Why I want to study this subject?2)How have my college subjects helped me to develop my interest?3)What have I done to show this interest? (academic extracurriculars e.g. reading/writing/audiobooks/work experience)4)How have my non-academic extra-curricular subjects aided me in preparing me for university study? (e.g. time management/ team skills/ independence/leadership)
