How should I structure my time in an exam? (e.g. unseen text)

Before you start writing anything on your exam paper (plan or answer), make sure you have carefully read ALL the relevant questions and texts and UNDERLINE all the key command terms. Depending on the exam length, you should allow yourself at least 5-10 minutes for the planning of your essay question. Once you have done this, make a bullet-pointed plan for each of your paragraphs and make sure you include key terms that will allow the examiner to see your knowledge skills. Most of all, make sure that everything you write down is RELEVANT to the question title.Use the remaining time to carefully write your essay and give yourself at least 5 minutes before the end to proof-read your work and make sure that all spelling and grammar is correct.
