What are the different types of renewable energy sources?

There are various renewable energy sources in existence which utilize the natural resources of the planet, such as wind, sun, biomass, wave power, geothermal. The energy produced varies considerably, and it is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) or Joules . 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh) = 3.6 x 106 J = 3.6 million JoulesThere are many factors to consider when choosing the most suitable renewable energy system, such as position for wind and solar, output vs. life cycle assessment of the energy system, lifespan etc.Types of renewable energy systems include: Wind turbines, solar panels, tidal lagoons, geothermal technology, biomass boilers and biogas digesters.
