How to conjugate the imperfect tense?

In Spanish we use the imperfect tense to describe an ongoing event in the past.
For example, 'She used to talk a lot'.
For verbs ending in 'ar', you take off the 'ar' and add the correct imperfect ending e.g. 'aba' for I and he/she/it, and 'abas' for you singular. For verbs ending in 'er' or 'ir', take off the ending and then add 'ia' etc. E.g. Hablar
I used to talk- hablabaYou (sing.) used to talk- hablabasHe/she/it- hablabaWe- hablabamosYou (pl.)- hablabaisThey- hablaban
