Solve 4(x-5)=3x-6

First, expand brackets to make your life easy. So you would do 4 times x and 4 times -5 to give u 4x-20. Then gather all the x's on one side of the equation and numbers on the other side. 4x-20=3x-6. Remember what you do to one side of an equation you have to do to the other side. Taking away 3x from both sides leaves x-20=-6. Then adding 20 to both sides leaves x=14.
