What are the similarities and differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells? State the name and the function of structures found exclusively in eukaryotes.

Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells have a nucleus which is responsible for controlling cellular activity. Both cell types also have ribosomes which produce proteins and both are bound by a cell membrane.Eurkaryotes have membrane-bound organelles, such as mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), whereas prokaryotes do not.The mitochondria is a double-membrane organelle which produces energy for the cell in the form of ATP.The endoplasmic reticulum is a large organelle that is responsible for producing and modifying proteins that will exported from the cell.
