Let f(x)= 5x-10 and h(x)= -5/x. A) Find fh(x). B) Find hf(x)

A) Find fh(x) This question is asking you to find the result when the function h(x) is sent through f(x). It is also not giving any numbers so the answer should be in terms of x. To answer this you should simply get your function f(x) and replace the x in it with the function h(x). Like this...(-5/x) becomes the replacement of x in f(x)=5x-10f(x)=5(-5/x)-10 The bracket can then be multiplied out giving -25/x -10A common factor of 5 can then be taken from the 25 and 10 giving a final answer of fh(x)= -5(5/x +2)
B) This is done the same as A) but this time f(x) is put into the function h(x) h(x)= -5/(5x-10) This can be simplified to 1/(2-x)
