Globalisation factors refer to the elements that drive globalisation and cause globalisation to occur.Before understanding the factors of globalisation we must first understand the meaning of globalisation itself. Globalisation refers to the world becoming more interconnected and interdependent. Interconnected means that the world is becoming 'as one'. For example, we have much better links in terms of communication with people in other countries than we did a few decades ago. Interdependent means the world's countries are also more reliant on each other than ever before. Rather than working individually, countries instead work together in many ways such as through the production of goods and services.Therefore, globalisation factors are elements that increase interdependence and interconnectivity. The firms can now work together and become dependent on eachother.Transport- containerisationContainerisation has made it easier and quicker for goods to flow between countries. This means countries do not have to make all their goods themselves. Instead, the UK can become dependent on imports from a country such as France for its wine, rather than the UK having to make their own wine.
