What factors should be taken into account when deciding which advertising media to use?

Since advertisement requires large sums of investment, businesses must make sure they 'get it right' from the beginning. The choice of media is an important decision, so businesses should consider the following factors:-Cost (eg. TV, radio and cinema advertising can be very expensive per minute of advert).-Size of audience (this will allow cost per person to be calculated- TV ad. would be too expensive if aimed at just a small audience).-The profile of the target audience in terms of age, income levels, interests... (eg. there is little point in advertising toys for children on television after 10pm at night/ exclusive clothing on the newspaper).-Message to be communicated (should be written if there is lots of information that has to be referred back to).-Legal constraints (eg. regulations on advertising aimed at children).
