Describe how the sperm cell is adapted to its function.

The sperm cell is adapted to its function in multiple ways:It has a tail which enables it to swim towards the egg.The middle section of the cell is packed with mitochondria. This allows it to release the energy to swim and when fertilising the egg.It has a haploid nucleus, thus allowing it to form a diploid nucleus upon fertilisation with an eggit has an acrosome in the head of the sperm which releases enzymes to burrow into the egg
