Commercial Awareness is often defined as being the ability to see a transaction or issue from the perspective of the client.However, although that sounds great in recruitment handbooks, the reality is that Commercial Awareness is a whole package of both skills and knowledge which enable you to interact seamlessly with the client. I.e. it covers everything from being aware that they start the business day at 6:30am to knowing which particular clauses of an agreement they would usually agree to or not.I.e. cannot be summarised in a snappy sentence and requires proper mentoring to understand.
