Write a story about two people from very different backgrounds.

In planning my answer to this question, I would first decide on the different backgrounds of the two people; did they grow up in different cities, or different countries? Is one of them male and one female? Does one of them have a poor relationship with their parents, and the other came from a loving family? Having made this decision I would plan my story; what will the conflict between the characters be, how will that conflict be resolved, what is the beginning, middle, and end of the story? As 24 marks are given for content and organisation, I would try to choose the most interesting of the backgrounds I had come up with, and carefully plan my story so that it is well structured. As 16 marks are given for technical accuracy, not only would I focus on correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, but I would also ensure that my use of vocabulary was not only interesting, to make the story more so, but correct.
