How do I write a strong and convincing personal statement that will get me the position that I am applying for?

When writing a personal statement, whether it be for a university or a job application, it is important to highlight the most important and unique characteristics of yourself. Your statement should be no more than one or two pages long and should explain why you believe that you specifically should be chosen for the course or the job. Start with an introductory statement demonstrating some aspect of knowledge in the field.
