I have been told I need to sit the UKCAT exam, what is this test?

The UKCAT is a two-hour computer-based test which assess a range of mental abilities identified by university medical and dental schools as important. It consists of five separately timed subtests which each contain a number of questions in a multiple-choice format. Verbal reasoning: which assesses the ability to critically evaluate information presented in a written form.Decision making: which assesses the ability to make sound decisions and judgements using complex information.Quantitative reasoning: which assesses the ability to critically evaluate information presented in a numerical form.Abstract Reasoning:which assesses the use of convergent and divergent thinking to infer relationships from information.Situational judgement: which measures the capacity to understand real world situations and to identify critical factors and appropriate behaviour in dealing with them. The test costs £65 or £87 depending on when you take it (the later you take it, the more expensive it becomes).Registration and booking opens  on the 1st of May 2018, however testing doesn't begin until the 2nd of July 2018. The last testing date is the 2nd of October. Tests can only be sat once per application cycle. Your results will be given to you as soon as you walk out from the test room.
