Can you explain the ontological argument for me?

I'd begin by giving some context, explaining what the ontological argument is trying to do, and what it can't do. I would explain the context through which it came up and that there are different iterations of the argument throughout history. Then, I would begin explaining the idea, engaging them in conversation: taking them through the different steps and places.
I would ask them if they had any criticisms of the argument: showing them some common critiques that exist from Immanuel Kant and others. And I would encourage them to assess the argument - why does it work? How does it work compared to the other arguments
