Another individual who helped progress in the Renaissance was Leonardo da Vinci. This was mainly due to his famous anatomical drawing of a woman’s foetus during pregnancy. Although he is famous as an artist he focused mainly on the human body and careful observation therefore producing highlight accurate images. Anatomy simply continued to develop at a steady pace.

This was because it was a turning point from poor quality inaccurate images to detailed and well observed printed works books on anatomy. The industrial revolution mainly made progress in surgery and solving the issues of pain and infection. There were few specific turning points made in anatomy during this period.
