How many paragraphs should I write for my English essay?

Although there is not a strict criteria on this, a typical essay at this level would tend to be three paragraphs long, as well as an introduction and a conclusion. Each paragraph should hit all of the assessment objectives, so that they are embedded throughout the essay. The introduction and conclusion need not be too long, so as to allow more time to tackle the question in the main body of your essay.
