What is the difference between a eukaryotic cell and a prokaryotic cell?

Eukaryotic cells include plant and animal cells. They have a cell membrane, cytoplasm and their genetic DNA is encased in a nucleus. Prokaryotic cells (bacteria) are much smaller in comparison. They have cytoplasm and a cell membrane, but the genetic material is often not encased in a membrane and can be free floating in the cytoplasm. There can also be other, additional circular loops of DNA called plasmids.(I would draw the basic structures as I talked about these to emphasise the differences).
