How important was the French renaissance?

One could be drawn to saying that the French renaissance was the most important of all. While the Italian renaissance was one of the most aesthetic and the later German and Danish one was very philosophical, the French one swept up with it great swathes of the population, who began questioning their time on earth. The aesthetics of French painters and poets was not lost on these growing numbers of republicans who, led by the era's great philosophers, started putting fundamental questions to the governance in place. In the end, it may have been one of the greatest triggers of the French Revolution and thus one of the biggest cogs in European history.
Furthermore, it still impacts us today. Etiquette and discourse were largely shaped under the renaissance, alongside much of the architectural aspect we associate to the pan-European movement.
