Solve the equation (2x-1)/3 + (x+2)/2 +x/6 = 8

The first thing you want to do is to get rid of the fractions,Multiplying everything by 6 will help you do this You must multiply every fraction by 6 and also everything you do to the left hand side, you must do the same to the right hand side6(2x-1/3) + 6(x+2/2) + 6(x/6) = 6[8]
3 goes into 6 twice, 2 goes into 6 3 times, and 6 goes into 6 once which leaves us with2(2x-1) + 3(x+2) + x = 48Now we can multiply out4x-2 +3x+6 + x = 48If we group the Xs and numbers together, remember for rearranging the -2, the minus sign must be included 4x + 3x + x - 2 + 6 = 48This leaves us with8x + 4 = 48Move the 4 over to the right hand side, remember to change the sign to minus 8x = 44x = 5 1/2
