Describe the structure of a cell wall of a xylem vessesl?

It is made of of a molecule known as cellulose. bundles of cellulose known as microfibrils are held together by hydrogen bonds and are arranged in layers in a cris-crosss/ mesh pattern. The layers are held together by the presence of pectins. the cell wall is also impregnated with lignin to prevent water loss and for structural strength. There are pits in the borders which allows for ease of transport between xylem cell.
