Explain the electron transport chain and chemiosmosis

Reduced NAD carries H+ and electrons to the transport chain on the inner mitochondrial membrane allow the electron to move along the carriers in a series of redox reactions. H+ then move across the membrane creating high H+ concentrations in the inter membrane space, and diffuse back into the mitochondrial matrix down the electrochemical gradient (chemiosmosis). This diffusion causes ATP synthesis. Electrons and H+ combine to form hydrogen atoms which then go on to form water by combining with oxygen,
