How do I push myself to improve my speaking and listening skills in French?

Pushing yourself to improve speaking and listening skills in French can often be difficult and daunting, but these tips can really help you to improve:• watch French films, in French with French subtitles - this will help you understand conversational French better• listen to French podcasts, radio or YouTube - same reasoning as above• have conversations with your classmates (or even yourself!) In French - no matter when you use it, practising saying things you've learnt is always useful• find a language partner whose native language is French - there are many sites where you can find pen pals, and having regular video calls with them where you can help them with English and they can help you with French can be really useful! Also if possible, speak with any native speaker in person!• if you get the opportunity, work in France over summer! The best job to improve your language which is easy to find is au pair work - the immersion is the best way to practise constantly! In the end, the main point is to practise, practise, practise!
