What is mathematics and why should I study it?

Mathematics is a language that is predominantly used in the fields of science; it is the study of patterns, puzzles and number theory which is then applied to real life situations such as mechanics, decision and statistics. Learning maths is fun if you make it fun! Not everyone understands particular concepts, algorithms or thereoms in the first place but, once you understand, there are endless possibilities and things you can do. Take probability as an example. The skills you learn in math class can then be used in real life situations, and it’s a subject that opens many doors, such as architecture, engineering and even art!
