Coronary heart disease involves the arteries supplying the heart, known as the coronary arteries. There are two arteries namely the left and right coronary arteries. Healthy coronary arteries are nice and wide, supplying the heart muscle with sufficient amount of blood and oxygen. Coronary heart disease is when the coronary arteries become narrow due to fatty deposits.
This can be from: • smoking • high-fat diet • lack of exercise allow: • overweight / obese • having high blood pressure • having high cholesterol
