Outline how the population characteristics of regions may be altered by Migration

Here, students should focus on two or more regions as case studies, whilst making some referral to the Demographic Transition Mode (DTM) to efficiently demonstrate their ideas and how they reflect real work occurrences and activities. it is commonplace for students to explore initial backgrounds of migration, such as Poland and Romania joining the EU which led to a huge influx of migrant workers into the UK to fill a labour gap. Here, students can then separate impacts into social, economic, political and environmental for extra credit from examiners as they explore how the population pyramids and associated characteristics of each working and non-working population has changed as a result of the movement of Eastern Europeans from their host nations to the United Kingdom.
