What and how much should I read in preparation for an Oxbridge interview?

Read what interests you most! Think about what interests you most about your subject and begin reading, researching that aspect of your subject outside what you are taught as part of the A-level syllabus. Don't worry about researching what books will be on the reading list for your subject - those book are for you to read when you are doing your degree. Oxbridge aren't looking for candidates who know everything about the course they want to study already. They are looking for candidates who are really passionate about their subjects. Reading books isn't the only way to expand your knowledge on your subject. Reading articles and magazine are a really quick way to figure out what really interests you about your subject and get a quick insight into further reading on that subjects. Podcasts are also excellent for bus journeys or even in the shower!Don't feel like you have to read a huge amount - Oxbridge know that you have A-levels to be focused on as well. Read little and often to keep up your interest and knowledge outside the A-level syllabus.
