How do I ensure my conclusion wraps up my essay well?

Conclusions can be critical to your overall mark and should never be rushed! The main aim of a conclusion is to bring together everything you have written to come to a judgement. Examiners love originality and critical thinking so conclusions are a great way to project your opinion (without using first person!). It's a good idea to think about your conclusion before you start your essay in your plan, as it will help you stay 'on topic' throughout your analysis to ensure you are answering the question . Remember, in your conclusion you should not be adding anything that has not already been mentioned in your essay, as examiners will mark this down for not being discussed in your analysis. Summarise everything you have highlighted in the essay and most importantly, make sure you have answered the question!
