Que hiciste ayer con tu familia? (example of oral question to demonstrate use of simple past)

The answer should employ at least two examples of the simple past. For example - 'Fui al cine con mi familia a ver una película y me gustó mucho. Fue muy divertido y quiero ir a ver otra película pronto'
In this example the simple past is used at least twice. It is also worth developing on the answer with a personal opinion and thus demonstrating ability to react to the question.
