How do you form negative imperatives?

In the affirmative imperative form both the indicative and subjunctive moods are used

(e.g. habla, hablad - indicative)

(e.g. hable, hablen - subjunctive)

When telling someone not to do something in Spanish the subjunctive mood is always used

Hablar

tú no hables

usted no hable

vosostros no habléis

ustedes no hablen

Comer

tú no comas

usted no coma

vosostros no comáis

ustedes no coman

Abrir

tú no abras

usted no abra

vosotros no abráis

ustedes no abran
