How can I get the best possible mark in the exam?

There are three key ways of ensuing you perform really well on a government and politics exam.

Firstly, you need to be up-to-date with current news to ensure you have examples in your essay. Ensure that you read a quality newspaper like The Guardian every couple of days to make sure you know what's happening in the world of politics. Build up a selection of articles and link them to the theory you've learnt. This will help you to stand out from the crowd in the exam.

Secondy, make sure you have a sound understanding of theory and concepts. Often not understanding a definition, or mis-construing a question can mean that you perform poorly in an exam. Revise key concepts regularly.

Remember the examiner is not looking for a doctoral thesis! When you're in the exam, write clearly and confidently, relax, and make essay plans. As long as you can communicate your knowledge and understanding of politics, you will do outstandingly well.
