Explain the similarities and differences between plant and animal cells structure and shape (may include use of a diagram and bullet points are accepted).

The similarities are:Cell cytoplasmNucleusCell membraneMitochondriaRibosomesStructures unique to plant cells (with a few exceptions):ChloroplastsCell wallsLarge permanent vacuoleAnimal cells tend to be variable in shape, whereas plant cells have a uniform, box like shape to maintain the structure of the plant. Animal cells can have vacuoles, but they tend to be temporary and for transporting nutrients/food, while in plants they are permanent and mainly to maintain the turgidity and structure of the cell.
