What factors influence development?

Development means countries changing and becoming more advanced. PHYSICAL FACTORS INFLUENCING DEVELOPMENT Climate -countries with unstable climates struggle to develop e.g. countries in the Sahel prone to droughts. Natural resources- Resource abundant countries have better prospects of development however are often sucked into the 'resource curse' which can greatly hinder development. HUMAN FACTORS INFLUENCING DEVELOPMENTPolitics - poor governance has a massive impact on a countries development. Social factors - poor countries have less money to spend on social welfare of the population e.g. education and healthcare. This creates the cycle of poverty and greatly holds back the chance of development.
