Describe, with the use of an example, the process of natural selection in evolution.

An example could be the peppered moth which changed its colour in order to blend into the environment as it changed with the industrial revolution.Should explain that natural selection is where advantageous alleles are selected for by environmental pressures which means those that have this advantage are more likely to survive and pass these genes on to their offspring ie Survival of the fittest.Should be noted that not all organisms within a species will have the same alleles and it is this variation that allows for natural selection.
