How is the sperm cell adapted to its role?

The role of the sperm cell is to fertilise the egg.-      It has a streamlined shape with a tail which enables it to swim towards the egg.-      It has a head with a nucleus, which contains the genetic material.-      It has an acrosome with enzymes which enable the sperm to penetrate the egg.-      It has many mitochondria which give it energy for movement.
