How did you find the whole medicine interview experience at Oxford?

To be honest, I was pretty nervous and scared going into the interviews because I didn't know anybody at Oxford or Cambridge so didn't really have anyone to ask in person. I knew they'd be academic but I didn't know how much they expected me to know, so I think I stressed myself out a bit by revising my year 12 syllabus and even looking ahead at some year 13 topics.
The tutors actually don't really care that much about what you know, but instead want to know how you think and see how you adapt when presented with new information. The interview process is meant to simulate a tutorial, which is one of the core teaching methods at Oxford (also known as supervisions at Cambridge), and since the interviewers will be your future tutors, they want to know how "teachable" you are. I'd see the interview as a learning experience and something that will be intellectually challenging, interesting, and genuinely fun!
