How do you form the present subjunctive in Spanish and what is it used for?

Use the 'yo' form of the present indicative and drop 'o' ending and add these endings:-ar verbs: e,es, e, emos, éis, en-er and -irverbs: a, as, a, amos, áis, anThe uses can be summarised in the acronym WEIRDO:Wishes and desires e.g. Espero que vuelvas a salvo.Expressing emotions e.g. Tengo miedo de que te caigas.Impersonal expressions e.g. Es probable que venga a la fiesta.Recommendations and requests e.g. Te recomiendo que te quedes en casa.Doubt and denial e.g. Dudo que le pase su examen.Ojalá e.g. Ojalá él sepa la verdad.
