Factorise 3x^2+15x

Firstly we need to understand what the question is asking us to do. Factorise means we need to take out the Highest Common Factor (HCF) that each term can be divided by.The two terms in this question is 3x2 and 15x. Separating this into numbers and algebra. HCF of 3 and 15 is 3 and for the algebra x2 and x is x.Putting these back together we get 3x so divide each term by 3x we get x+5. So we have 3x(x+5).
