How do I improve my marks in the listening section of the paper?

Firstly you need to practise again and again different segments of listening exam materials as these are key to allow you to train your ears to the French nature accent, which lets you pick up key words that you would otherwise miss due to the pace of their speaking in the recordings. Additionally, when learning vocabulary to use apps that speak the word to you as words are understood far differently spoken to how they are read at times - this is a key mistake many students make!
