Renee buys 5kg of sweets to sell. She pays £10 for the sweets. Renee puts all the sweets into bags. She puts 250g of sweets into each bag. She sells each bag of sweets for 65p. Renee sells all the bags of sweets. Work out her percentage profit.

To find the percentage profit, we must first find the amount of money she receives from the sale of the bags of sweets. This is equal to the number of bags sold multiplied by the sale price of each bag.The number of bags sold is 5/0.25 which is 20. So the total money that she receives is 20*0.65 which is £13.00.
Hence, the total profit is 13-10= £3.00Expressing this as a percentage of the £10.00 that she started with gives (3/10)*100=30%.So the percentage profit is 30%.
