Is it okay if I do not include any hobbies and just write about academic achievements?

I would certainly advise you to include hobbies in your PS. Universities are looking for people who are unique and have passion for activities outside of academic life. It shows that you are not a robot focusing only on grades. If you have any interesting, extraordinary hobbies only better for you, it will help you stand out among thousands of other applicants.
