Why does food decay faster in hotter climates?

The key to this kind of question is how you word your answer - you vocabulary must be very specific.You are looking to highlight that microbes can respire faster, which in turn lets them reproduce and grow faster. You can also mention that the enzymes secreted by these microbes work at a faster rate due to them being closer to their optimum temperature.
