What changes occurred to peasantry during the industrial revolution in England?

Probably the most apparent change during the industrialisation in the late 18th century, early 19th century is that urbanisation began. People moved to cities in the hope of getting a job there, since the new inventions and machines offered new opportunities. Village life was no longer fruitful for them, since landowners started to breed sheep for their wool on the common fields. However, the city life was not as happy as many had hoped. Exploitation was common, working conditions were not properly regulated at first, and diseases spread easily in the crowded living spaces.
