Describe the process of positive phototropism

Uneven distribution of the hormone auxin in a root tip whereby the plant hormone diffuses in the opposite direction from a source of light. This will trigger the differential growth and elongation of the plant cells not exposed to the light effectively making the plant grow in the direction of the light source.
