What is the gradient and the y-intercept of the graph y = 3x + 7 ?

Based on the straight line equation of y = mx + c, where m is the gradient and c is the y-intercept, 3 would be the gradient and 7 would be the y-intercept.

What are the possible value(s) of x for the following: x^2 + 3x - 54 = 0

The equation of line A is (x)^2 + 11x + 12 = y - 4, while the equation of line B is x - 6 = y + 2. Find the co-ordinate(s) of the point at which lines A and B intersect.
